GHS Machinery was founded in 2026 by Managing Director George Hall, who grew up in a family of farmers in Wiltshire, England. From a young age, George spent much of his time on his grandparents’ and cousins’ farms, helping out and learning the ropes of agriculture. This hands-on upbringing sparked a lifelong passion for farming and agricultural machinery, leading him to work on various farms and estates throughout his youth.

He went on to attend agricultural college before completing a Business Management degree, where his enthusiasm for sales and machinery really flourished. Following this, George worked for a leading UK OEM main dealer for several years, specialising in used machinery/ export sales and machinery hire. He also spent a season in Australia working for an agricultural contractor and farmer, gaining valuable international experience.

Today, through GHS Machinery, George combines that experience with a commitment to quality, transparency, and customer service — helping farmers and contractors across the UK source reliable, well-priced used agricultural machinery they can trust.
